Finding a property in Labuan
Finding a house in Labuan can be very daunting. Not only the information is not readily available, you can only find it if you happen to know "someone" who is "willing" to share the news with you. After months of searching (through notice board and asking around), finally we have come closer to finding our dream home.
Then there is always good and bad side to every property. Either the location is way too far, or design of the house is simply flawed, or the price is killer (RM700k+ for a 3 rooms apartment in town facing seaview), whether it will take another 4-5 years to complete or it is simply haunted. Of course buying a property is never easy, where you got to make sure it has the potential to appreciate in value and it is something that other people is willing to buy.
Now that we are down to few choices, as we are looking for a place where we can move in within 1 year, so we have cross out all the houses which have not even get government approval. We are also looking for preferably newer and good condition house. Doesn't matter if it is apartment or landed property as long as the potential is good. We have manage to come down to few choices.
Then it is getting loan, going to lawyer to sort out stamp duty and other administrative stuff. Which bank is good? What types of loans is best suited to us? What else do we need to know? How about renovation and furniture? How much will it cost? So many more things to sort out with limited information. I wonder if I will be broke after buying a house? Will I be tied down for my entire life just to pay the installment? I dare not think too far ahead, but know that hundreds and thousands of people just like me have manage to buy and stay in their property and still manage to survive. So I think it shouldn't be too much of different for me.

London + Paris Trip
After 6 months of not traveling, my skin starts to crawl and I can feel the urge to travel again. It is like an addiction that I can't kick away. The thought of planning where to go, what to eat and after months of planning, seeing your trip falls into plans, it is a best thing that can happen. I've been to many places and the one that I usually miss the most are the one which I planned it from beginning to the end. My last trip to Japan was kind of well planned for (we followed tour) so there was basically nothing much left to explore on our own even though we purposely skip the Disneyland park to explore Tsukiji Market on our own!!!
Next destination, I am still unsure of where to go. But I am looking into London + Paris/Lyon trip with my mother and brother. Even though I've been to this 2 places before (London, Paris) but I was still a student then and we followed tour which basically just stopped by Paris tower to take few photos before we headed back to our miserable dorm. I remember stopping by lourve museum to see Mona Lisa painting as well. Perhaps this time I can slowly explore Paris and London cause hopefully I can spend at least 1 week (4 days in London and 3 days in Paris). Hopefully I can take leave and confirm the trip with my family.
I am also hoping to visit Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan and revisit few countries (Hong Kong, Korea). I know money is a factor but i guess it is not wrong to start planning early. When people ask when will I have my own baby, I am thinking, maybe when I finish travel around the world!

Find work that interest you, or find interest in work?
I am thinking, which is better? Do you find work that interest you? Or find interest in work? Of course if someone can find the work that bring great excitement and enthusiasm in them, I personally congratulate them. I think they will soar high and go far. What if not everyone is as lucky to find the work that interest them? Is it time to start learning to love your job instead of complaining about it? Can one really cultivate the interest in them? Does it mean if you don't hate it, you might actually learn to love it? Is it possible to ever fall in love with work when clearly it is not the thing you want most? We used to believe that we all can be successful and happy when we all grow up. We will all end up doing the things that we love most, perhaps a singer, writer, actor, doctor etc. What if you really love acting but you don't have the opportunity or talent? What then? Does it mean it's time to grow up and find some professional boring jobs that can pay the salary? I once read in an article, there are certain characteristic in successful person. They always know what they want and are prepared to fight for it. I think that's what important, to know what you want and do all you can to achieve it....with charisma. At least you have no regret at the end of your life when you've tried everything.

Happiness, Success and Money
Have you ever felt so lost? Have you felt like you do not know what to do with your life? Do you ever wanted to achieve success, happiness, and money? How to achieve that if you ask me?
Success is found when one can contribute to the society. When they are being respected for their contribution. Or when one have achieve their goal they set in their life. That is what I will consider as success. When one is successful, coupled with harmonious family and supportive friends around. They can achieve happiness. Money will come when one is successful.

Money not equal to happiness?
Money not equal to happiness? A read in KC Lau blog has put me in deep thought. Research show that people with more money is not necessarily happier than their poorer counterpart. How about financier or money related book which always emphasize on the importance of money and it is always better to have more money than less? Isn't it self contradicting when you say money does not make one person happy but on the other hand say something else. I am in such a dilemma now.
True enough, money alone does not make a person happy. This is because happiness require multi-factor such as family support, friend network, loving spouse, fulfilling carrier etc. Money can certainly get a lot of things done more efficiently but doesn't guarantee happiness in long run. Not having money however can make one suffer too. So in the end, one must have all-money, family, friends, spouse, career and the list go on. So the conclusion is human are always greedy!!!

5S
It is finally here!!! The 5S infection has infested the whole Malaysia!!! Thought I manage to escape from it after transfer out from my previous workplace now that my current workplace is implementing 5S all out!!! Meaning you do all the work and pay all the money but all the glory will belong to the company. Anyway, there are some pros to this such as cleaner and more comfortable workplace and subsequently increasing the productivity.
5S basically stand for seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu and shitsuke. The culture originated from Japan which intend to introduce cleanliness and tidiness to the entire organization in hope of improve work performance. Studies has shown that cleaner and tidier place does increase the overall efficiency. From Fengshui point of view, throwing away all the junk will also clear out the negative chi and welcome positive one.
I hope that we can sustain this spirit for a longer time instead of hangat-hangat tahi ayam.
